Christmas on Belmore

Christmas on Belmore was held on Friday 18th December. Once again a great variety of entertainment was available for young and old alike. Childrens rides, street parade, Farmers Market Stalls, Santa on the Balcony, Ecumenical Choir, Sausage Eating competition, Rucco Bear, Christmas Dressup competion were amonst some of the exciting events. Traders stayed open so that shoppers could complete their Christmas shopping and after making some great purchases could then enter the prize draw. The $1000 Shopping Spree voucher was drawn at the kiosk at 8:30pm to end a great nights entertainment.

Yarrawonga Mulwala Everyone's a Winner 5 Hour Sale

The annual Everyone's a winner 5 Hour Sale held on 29th October 2009 was once again an outstanding success. Some 86 Yarrawonga and Mulwala businesses participated!!! Feedback suggests that the new 5 hour format was good. Traffic counters showed that traffic almost doubled on the day of the Sale and there was a total of approximately 1800 purchases made during the sale.

Yarrawonga Diamond Day

The Yarrawonga Mulwala Chamber of Commerce presents YARRAWONGA DIAMOND DAY on Saturday August 8 2009.


Tickets are now selling for $30 per person and include Bus travel to Wangaratta, Entry to the Racecourse and members area and a complimentary Racebook. Drinks are available at bar prices. Marquee and catering packages are also available.


Tickets can be purchased at the Belmore Street Kiosk on 31st July or at the Farmers Market on 26th July.

First Farmers Market an Outstanding Success

The first Yarrawonga Farmers Market held on Sunday 23rd May was an outstanding success with well over 2000 people in attendance. The twenty stallholders were surprised and delighted with the response from the shoppers. The demand was so high many stallholders were caught unawares and sold out very early and had to replenish stocks. All stallholders said that they would be bringing more stock next time.

Since the market several new stallholders have expressed interest in attending the Yarrawonga Farmers Market next month so the Market will be bigger and better.

The Yarrawonga Farmers Market will be held monthly in Piper Street Yarrawonga on the forth Sunday.

Banners for Belmore Street

After many hours of negotiations with the relevant bodies and lots of fund raising these great new colourful banners have been erected in Belmore Street Yarrawonga.

Thanks to all the stakeholders including Powercor, Andrew Blankfield at Baymedia who provided the Banners, Yarrawonga Mulwala Development and Moira Shire Council.

YARRAWONGA FARMERS MARKET

The first Yarrawonga Farmers Market will be held on Sunday 23rd May 2009 in Piper Street Yarrawonga. The market will be an authentic Farmers Market providing direct access to local producers. A great family outing is assured with lots of fun including buskers and other entertainment. Entry is by gold coin donation. Proceeds to local community groups.

The Yarrawonga Farmers Market will be launched at a function at Coops Restaurant on Wednesday 13th May 2009 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. This function will be a fantastic chance for locals to meet some stallholders and get involved with the Farmers Market

The Yarrawonga Farmers Market is a joint project of the Yarrawonga Mulwala Chamber of Commerce. Funding has been provided by Regional Development Victoria and the market is proudly supported by Yarrawonga Mulwala Tourism.
